Condemned to change bodies every twelve hours, Kang I-an searches for traces of his original self, while everyone’s trying to kill him... whatever his bodily form.
Heavily influenced by Christopher Nolan, Yoon Jae-geun brilliantly rises to the challenge of combining two science fiction sub-genres, the neverending time loop trapping the hero (Groundhog Day, Edge Of Tomorrow) and the identity lost in the dark recesses of the brain (Angel Heart, Memento). “Who am I really, among all my selves?” wonders Kang I-an. Through a clever game of mirrors, the filmmaker unfurls his complex plot but never confuses the viewer, retaining his attention with the quest for identity and the action scenes. He also hints at a metaphor of a disoriented Korean soul on the verge of schizophrenia.
