If, as Jean Gabin said, “Eating tripe without cider is like going to Dieppe without seeing the sea”, then “ you’d really have to be a loser to miss the sea in Dieppe” .
For his sole film as a director, composer Nicolas Errèra illustrates this expression literally through the adventures of his anti-hero Bibi played by Patrick Timsit, a universal loser, bad at seduction, bad at the art of life and especially bad at being happy. A tragicomedy about a ridiculous man, winner of the National Grand Prize at Clermont-Ferrand in 1991.

A young woman taking care of a painter’s children discovers that the artist has miniaturized his wife to protect her from a hostile world.
French fantasy, albeit confidentially, did exist in the 70's. Awarded the silver medal at the Venice Biennale in 1969, this is the sole feature film by this prematurely deceased Hungarian director, a pioneer of computer animation. Je, Tu, Elles is a playful variation on the theme of miniaturization, with its pop experimentations that recall the Eastern European work of Vorlíček on Who Wants to Kill Jessie? . Here at last is the opportunity to do justice to this unidentified filmic object, that mixes animation and live footage, shown on TV but never released in theaters, probably because it was too innovative for its time.
