In 1980, amidst fear of an invasion of South Korea by the North, two intelligence agents try to uncover a mole, even suspecting each other.
The period that saw the assassination of President Park by the Korean secret police in 1979 still inspires Korean cinema. AfterThe President's Last Bang (2005), and recently The Man Standing Next (2020), it's the background for actor (and international star since Squid Game) Lee Jung-jae's (The Housemaid) first feature film, who also plays the lead role. But though this relentless paranoïd thriller denounces the foul workings of espionage, it doesn't forget action scenes, and leaves the viewer breathless, pulled into an infernal spiral that blurs all tracks and is full of twists. Neither all black nor all white, the protagonists at least agree upon one color: the color of blood.
