Somewhere between the worlds of Hoffman and Maurice Renard, this beautiful adaptation of George Langelaan has us follow Penny (wonderful Claude Jade), who is puzzled by the resemblance of a chess player automaton created by the Count of Saint Germain, with her deceased brother. One of the summits of 70's TV.
