Phantasm, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Paperhouse, Dream Demon, The Company of Wolves: in the 80s, fantasy opened the gates of dreams by exploring aesthetic and metaphorical terrains of the psyche, weaving unforgettable journeys. Moon Garden rekindles ambitions thought to be extinct, swapping narration for tripping out, depicting the turmoils of childhood and its marvels with gleaming colors. With dizzying stop-motion scenes reminiscent of the Quay Brothers, and its little girl lost in the labyrinth of her mind, this is the Festival’s dreamy gem. Go through the mirror and you won’t come back.
