Uncut version
On a stormy night, a picturesque bunch of individuals one by one take shelter in an old manor managed by a mad alcoholic woman. Many secrets will be revealed during this night of fear, neurosis and debauchery.
Gothic obscurity as in Dark Old House? Polymorphous porn? A gorilla? Trash? Arty experimental? You’ll find it all in this decadent hallucination that makes us question our sanity. A camp underground filmic pulsion laced with lethal humor, Thundercrack bids farewell to aesthetic and moral propriety, abandoned to the throngs of frantic sex, as if Curt McDowell’s narrative process was to liberate his fantasies, and uncover the most secret of our own. Though he evades comprehension, he’s so addictive that we almost immediately need to go back for more.
