In Jericho Ridge, returning to her precinct, police officer Tabby Temple discovers it has been broken into and weapons stolen. Her colleagues all out investigating, she’s alone to fend with two killers very bent on getting in.
Trap your heroine in a lost police station, block all the exits, add a few visitors and you get this night in hell, without detours, that starts like Blood Simple but continues like a minimalist Assault on Precinct 9. Nikki Amuka-Bird plays the pugnacious heroine but surprisingly eschews virility stereotypes. A first feature film for editor William Gilbey, Jericho Ridge shines by its direction and editing, brilliantly using surveillance cameras, and very stimulating in terms of fear and aesthetics.
