Let's admit it: we’d somewhat lost track of the delirious filmmaker of Killer Tongue (1996). To see him return with this beautiful cosmic animist solar tale, is all the more surprising. Totally unclassifiable, Clelo at first disconcerts with its cruel inaugural surrealism, before imposing its magic realism and unfolding on metaphysical reflexion and the wonderful. Enchanted, we follow this young girl and her supposed powers on her initiatory journey, encounter after encounter; and surreptitiously, she leads us into the light.
