Brand new master
During the industrial revolution, Oryū’s uncle is put in charge of building a railway line to facilitate coal transportation, to the detriment of river boatmen, who will cause trouble. They are actually manipulated by a rival clan that Oryū will try to stop.
As the series moves on, entertainment is paired with a political and social conscience that makes our heroine rebel against the powerful. Suzuki chooses to sometimes let action take a secondary role until the gripping finale. It would be the only episode directed by Shigehiro Ozawa, known for his Street Fighter trilogy with Sonny Chiba.
