Haunted by the memories of a childhood trauma, Rose, a young pregnant actress, is stuck in an isolated hotel where the occupants show odd behaviors.
For her first feature film, Julie Pacino (daughter of Al Pacino) sends her Alice across the mirror of darkness, into a long hallucination that one by one erases all points of reference. There’s a touch of Argento in this conception of a colorful Art Deco dream, where wandering down long corridors and entering rooms, becomes an inner voyage. With her impressive artistic direction and immersive sound design, Pacino recaptures the beauty of 80s dreamy films, the living house acting as an echo to mental chaos. A harrowing nightmare filled with splendid visions where fantasy gives a voice to women’s suffering.
