Nawojka, 20 years old, dreams of escaping her life as a farm worker on the family estate and as a housewife as soon as the workday ends. Like her mother before her, she begins to experience strange powers, and trances regularly overtake her body. The return of Sandra, hated by the village, will upset her destiny.
To explore the present through ancient stories, such is Julia Kowalski’s mission, as she shifts into high gear following her remarkable short film I Saw the Devil’s Face : assaulted by men, persecuted by the crowd, or gifted with mysterious powers, women are cursed. Her Will Be Done is both an ode to sisterhood and resistance, and carefully avoids drawing a clear line between the supernatural and reality, instead it glows with a witch-like energy: cosmic and magical. Its title rings out like a manifesto.
