From Jean Rollin to Alain Jessua or Morrissey, Les Charlots or Franju, he never conceals his influences, but his nonsensic triviality visited by gore digests them all, and his satirical rudeness frantically reappropriates them, making his film like a Halloween happening. You’ll die laughing!
