Europe, 2041. A controversial biological restoration technology allows to bring people who have died of natural causes during the last 24 hours, back to life. Detective lieutenant Trochinowska investigates the murder of David Kurlstat, a researcher at the Restoration Institute, and discovers he’s come back to life.
Exploiting the same post-mortem replication idea as Bong Joon-ho in his Mickey 17, young Czech filmmaker Robert Hloz (in his first feature film) creates a very credible futuristic world, close to Blade Runner 2049, where he sets this clever and surprising detective story, in which a woman detective ends up solving a murder with the victim’s help!
