Aiba, a young streetwise Tokyo detective with street methods is forced to partner with Cho, a just as unconventional Korean policeman. To arrest a criminal who is as dangerous as he is elusive, the two men will have to learn to play the same score.
Search no further: this is the explosive action movie of our programme, a noir film where two very differently minded cops learn to cooperate, between culture shock and generation gap, jokes and fights galore. When Japanese cinema decides to rival the wildest South Korean cop movies, it even incorporates the plot style of The Roundup, as evidenced by Don Lee’s involvement as an associate producer. The result meets all expectations: buddy movie, wild pursuits, inner city car chases. What more could we ask for?
