Having taken the shape of a very beautiful woman, an alien roams the streets of Glasgow to seduce men and lead them into a strange shadowy chamber where she strips them of their physical forms. She is protected by a motorcyclist who ensures she remains emotionally detached. But a chance encounter will jeopardize this balance of dominance...
Freely adapting Michel Faber’s novel Under the Skin, Jonathan Glazer creates a film world with a rare aesthetic power, drawing from both a sensitive realism and the coldness of an underworld reminiscent of Lynch or Tarkovsky, but that in fine belongs solely to Glazer. A mesmerizing Scarlett Johansson  here began her deconstruction process, in one of the greatest films of the 2010s.

A great alien movie, unjustly decried by critics because it was “arty”. What is “arty”? Happily I’m no cinephile. And Scarlett Johansson naked looks a whole lot better than E.T. on a bike.
